Egyptian Communication Company Important Announcment It has been noticed latley that computer users have been making international calls through the internet, which is against the company regulations. The company requests of citizens to refrain from using these illegal ways in making their calls, so that the comopany will not have to take lawful legal actions against them. |
Upon what you have read above, I write what follows.
I find it very ridiculous of the company to declare such!
It's very strange that government companies can assume to do what they want and to terrorize citizens the way they like. Poor citizens can't do anything to retain their rights. Even if they get a court sentence against companies, nothing happens, they can't get the court sentence applied, like has happened in many cases.
I am just trying to express some of what's happening in Egypt, although I know that if my real personality were to be discovered, I might face some troubles! But I don't care as long as I am doing the right thing.

I forgot to tell you that using
some internet telephone services, you can call USA for 0.5$ per minute
(about 0.18 L.E.). Comparing that with the price given by the Egyptian
Telecommunication Company, which costs more than 6 L.E. per minute to the same
place, you can see why the Company doesn't want people to use the internet
telephone service...to make more profit! Please note that this is about one year old,
there is a new tariff now. But I am leaving this number unchanged because that was
the tariff at the time the announcement were published.
